The video for the new single is out and available to watch on U2.com. As with the single, I 'm not sure what to think. Actually with the single, I'm pretty decided that I don't like it. How they did the massive conglomoration of images is pretty cool, but I'm not sure I like it. Very Salvador Dali-ish. Surrealism at its height. Oh, and Adam, unfortunately, has been taking dance lessons from Bono (or 14 year old air guitar players).

Yeah, that song, dunno. It doesn't seem very musically contiguous. They're just trying way too hard with this song and video. Way too annoyingly didactic, no?
Here's to hoping the rest of the album is better.

That is it. They are trying too hard to be cool, etc.

My humble opinion: I[ilikeit]LIKE[ilikeit]IT. And now that I've seen the video, I like it even more. It's all about saturation, the colors, the images, the lyrics, the music, the layered vocals. He even demands that his senses be saturated(lemme in the sound) from the outside in, and i like how dynamic that is. Also, though they have yet to personally confirm this, i think it's more that they figure that if they do something then that means it is cool, less that they are intentionally making effort to "do" cool things (please allow me to make clear that i do not think that is always the case, especially when they try to dance) thanks for posting links to the new stuff, it's fun:)

I must be more precise in what I meant earlier, especially knowing how the band feels about the concept of cool: They are trying too hard to hook the younger generation, which doesn't for them, have much to do with being cool.
