As mentioned previously, Mikhail Baryshnikov is one of my favorite dancers. But I also love tap dance. This movie was cheesy (it had its place), but I find it cool/hilarious that the two were put together. The first version of Step Up (I haven't seen it), if you will.

I find this clip particularly funny watching the different moves that each of them are good at and then watching the other person do the same moves.

I'm sure this one has made the rounds already, but I thought it was too good to pass up being part of my humor collection

News flash:
Marie Horne attends the ward top ramen cook-off for FHE. She brings a stroganoff that looks like glorified cat food from a can and brings home the "Most Disgusting" award. I pretty much died laughing. At least now I won't be asked to become a food prostitute (as they are lovingly called at BYU) for the guys in the ward.:)

Here is some random 80s trivia.

Air Supply met when both were in the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar.
In July 1980 Bill Gates and IBM meet to discuss personal computer. Then in Aug 81 first PC released. It is so hard to believe that it was only that long ago that PC were invented.
The person who designed the vietnam memorial, Maya Lin, was a Yale undergraduate. An undergraduate! That is awesome. Also probably fitting because protests were mostly by college students and that age group.
83 was a big year: the first CD, the first cabbage patch dolls, the first commercial cell phone (compare that to PCs as far as how fast it caught on)
Oprah started in 1986 (she was only 32-that is me in less than a year-unbelievable)
Les Mis opened in 1987
Time magazine reports Nancy Reagan's astrologer, Joan Quigley, had been advising the President for years on the sceduling of event of state and other matters.
Not until 1982 was "cigarette smoke cancer" announced. Here's a funny commercial to go with that.

I have been doing this contact routine morning and night since the seventh grade. In fact my eyes are so used to my contacts that they get dried out if I don't put them in everyday.
I have also been wearing the pictured green claw in my hair nearly every day for about seven years-no matter what I'm wearing. Ridiculous, I know. There was a brief period in there where I straightened my hair like every other day, but then I started losing all of my hair and became quite lazy so I stopped.

I have been doing the "green shoes around the house" routine for about eight months now. They are so comfy; I like to wear them.

Ah, the spoiled generation we are.

I am a bit passive aggressive and it is not a good thing that I discovered this site: passiveaggressivenotes.com. It gives me way too many ideas. This is one I particularly like.

I actually worked on my thesis and turned something in, terrible though it was.
Oh, and apparently there is a deal today where you can download the U2 album from Amazon for 3.99. I will be buying the physical copy today, but that is quite a deal.
