I know I've been posting a lot about U2 lately and so I wasn't going to put this up, but because of their outfits I couldn't resist.

This is their performance on the grammy's, have to watch it while you can (they have already taken down the Walmart clips).

Larry's hair so much better than the garage mechanic look.
The Edge in a plaid shirt?!?!
Bono's eyeliner too much Greenday

Interesting lyrics all right. The kaleidoscope background is a bit POPmart-ish to me, but I've only seen a bit of that era.

As far as 80s movie that rocked the most, for me it's a tie between TopGun and Footloose. Literally, they both rocked (had great soundtracks-and both by Kenny Loggins).
But Some Kind of Wonderful is good, while Ladyhawke I haven't seen since the 80s so I barely remember it.

Yes, the background totally reminds me of the POPmart concert video.
Matthew Broderick is hilarious in Ladyhawke. You might enjoy his humor.

I can't help myself, I still Really like the song and the performances of it. I think they have finally married their 90's swagger with their milennial message. Marie, if you were a worse person, you would hate me for this but that's where All That You Can't Leave Behind failed for me. For me this feels so much more genuine and less affected (I want you to know that I am cringing as I write this cuz I can hear your incredulous "WHA, WHAT!?!" as you throw your hands in the air). I'll chalk it up to the INFJ/ENTP exasperation/admiration effect. Or maybe I just like it cuz it's loud and spazzy :)

I almost forgot, Bono must never wear eyeliner again! GAG!

Yes, down with the eyeliner!! (It makes him look older, heaven forbid he would want that.)
Did the Edge get the plaid shirt at DI? I don't think he could find one anywhere else. Although I do remember recently asking for grunge style to come back in... not that he totally makes it, but maybe we're on our way. Thanks Edge, for paying attention to the psychic vibes headed out there. Although couldn't you have put it all together a little better?

I've decided that one of the great appeals of U2 and why they have made it so big is that they do change with albums and they do include songs of different stripes on every album so that hopefully their entire fanbase has something to like and doesn't give up on them.

I will admit seeing the performance of the song helped me to like it more. That is their strength. And probably why I've been to see U2 3D nine times and still love it.

Jen, I did ask WHAT? More genuine? I do give GOYB credit for also being genuine, but I'd like to think that it is maybe just another natural flavor:)

I love talking about this stuff.
