Merry Christmas! I thought I would post a Christmas song by Eric Whitacre, one of my favorite choral composers. It called "Lux aurumque" about light and angels attending the birth of Christ.

They are two high school choirs (I can't believe how good they are for high school) being conducted by Eric Whitacre. Obviously the camera man is way more interested in Eric Whitacre than the choir. Way too much screen time for him, although it is mainly for listening to anyway.

In honor of the snow, I thought I would also post another Eric Whitacre song that someone has put all of these nature pictures to. It is the BYU singers doing "Sleep" by Eric Whitacre.

Here is a percussion group doing the same choral piece. I normally don't like the sound of marimbas, but this works really well. The piece also transfers to orchestration really well.
