I thought I would post this little Captain Picard gem.

I got an email from BYU-I today and was informed that I will be teaching for them in the Fall. It's official-I got the job!

I disagree with everything that Lady Gaga is and stands for (I do accept that she is talented, but that is as far as anything goes), but this video of a grandpa dancing to one of her songs is hilarious. It gets good again about 2:10 and then the splits at the end.

I got an email from BYU-I yesterday and apparently they want to interview me on Monday. I did a week of responding to interview type questions on a discussion board, so I thought I was home-free as far as an interview goes, but I'm not. I'm glad I don't have a long time to freak out about it. I am nervous. I did so poorly on my last interview. But it must be done, right?

Nothing is still going on here, so I rearranged my Shakespeare fridge magnets.

I really like the folk duo Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion. And this is my favorite song on their album Exploration: Holdin Back.

Blogger has just come out with all these new templates and there are far too many choices.
Speaking of choices...
I went to a fireside tonight and the speaker talked about all the various internet sites that the church has. I learned about radio.lds.org and right now it is doing a cool segment on the life of W. W. Phelps. I also learned about the beta site for lds.org. They have a section entitled prophets and apostles speak today (which was pushed for heavily by the brethren who emphasized the need to get direct communication from just the prophets and apostles) and it will show all the public speeches that any of the apostles or prophets give whether it be a fireside or devotional or conference. Sweet. They also have redone the scriptures online and so when the new lds.org is launched you will be able to create an account and mark, highlight, take notes, etc. on your "own" digital set of scriptures. I am not much for digital, but I know lots of people who will love it.

New U2 song that came out with the concert DVD they just released.

Awesome!!! My style of U2. I hope much of the new album is like this!

Nothing much is going on so I really don't have much to say.
I finally brought my bike up from Provo and rode it around the park next to my apartment. Boy does that use different muscles than walking! I love bike riding and I just have to find a location near me where I can ride it. I am not really big into riding on roads with cars.
Oh I guess I could say that my basil is growing fine, but the other two-rosemary and sage-are not thriving, so I am assuming that they will start to decline soon.

Oh and the Hilter parody has hit U2 again.
I thought it was funny for the most part.

The Relief Society activity yesterday was about how to plant a garden on your balcony. I decided to start with easy herbs instead of going for the difficult, fickle tomatoes, even though I have killed any herbs I tried to go in the past. Well here we go.

Okay, so it is May 24th and it is snowing. Crazy!

I went to flaming gorge yesterday and it was awesome. We hiked on a trail and the fishermen all thought we were crazy for hiking in the direction of the storm.

Sad news this morning. Bono had emergency back surgery. The Salt Lake concert is postponed until they don't know when. They were going to be here starting Tuesday!!!! I could have stalked them for over a week!!!! Of course all the best to Bono and I hope he recovers well, but, selfishly, I could have stalked them:)

Lisa and I went to the Bees Game last Friday night, as part of my ward group. It was quite fun. We won.

Out of all the sports uniforms out there, baseball uniforms are the best looking, especially the old ones.

I think this is a funny mock infomercial with the Bronte sisters. Very creative weapons.

One of my favorite U2 sites does an annual survey. The results showed that over 70% of U2 fans have had a dream with U2 in it. I guess I'm not that weird:)
Well okay, most of them had dreams about U2 performing a concert for them, and while I have had those, I bet most people don't have dreams of babysitting Bono's kids. Okay, I'm a weirdo.

I discovered this innovative take on Romeo and Juliet. Some actors in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company are "putting on" a version of the play solely on Twitter. The characters are improvising all the dialogue, etc. just following the plot of the story. It has been interesting-just don't read Mercutio's tweets. It is the perfect play for this teen-oriented technology.
